Republican Secretaries of State Committee selected Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose as chairman this week as the group announced its 2024 Executive Committee Leadership Team.
LaRose, who previously served as committee vice chair, succeeds Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams as chairman.

“As chairman of the RSSC, I am fully committed to building public confidence in our elections. That means electing principled Republican leaders who will keep our state’s elections free and fair,” LaRose said.
“Our 2024 executive committee is composed of Secretaries who stand for election integrity, and as a team we are laser-focused on thwarting Democrat efforts to hijack our election systems for political gain. Ohio has long been a leader in this space and I am honored to have the trust of my counterparts in other states for this important mission,” LaRose added.
The Republican Secretaries of State Committee is a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee which works to “elect leaders who champion policies that make it easier to vote but harder to cheat.”
In addition to overseeing their respective state’s elections, secretaries of state “oversee trademark and business registration, run the library and archives operation, manage professional licensing, and perform other critical tasks that encourage the state’s economic development.”
Since 2007, the Republican Secretaries of State Committee has helped elect Republicans to office, including the current 27 out of 50 incumbent secretaries of state.
In addition to LaRose, the caucus’ 2024 Executive Committee Leadership Team also consists of the following members:
- Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson, vice chair
- Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen, finance chair
- Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, executive committee member
- Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales, executive committee member
- Kentucky Secretary of State Michael G. Adams, executive committee member
- Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett, executive committee member
- West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner, executive committee member
